- High winds and waves buffeted the lakefront this evening, hours after the bike and jogging path was closed following National Weather Service warnings of severe weather and lakeshore flooding.
A high wind warning is in effect for the Chicago area from 3 p.m. this afternoon to 10 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Always with the weather. Extra gel for the hair, more tape for the hairpiece and the Department is good to go.
