Honestly, it would be a rare night that less than 5 people get shot lately:

• A man was left dead and eight others were wounded in separate overnight shootings on the city's South Side, officials said.
  
  
• As of 3:20 a.m., no one was in custody for any of the shootings. Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
