Four men were wounded, one of them critically, in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side this afternoon during a gang-related shooting, authorities said.
Someone on foot fired shots, striking the four outside at 1:55 p.m. in the 5500 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to police.
All four ran away after being wounded and one who was shot in the leg collapsed inside a cell phone store, according to police and fire officials.
The victim most seriously injured was a man shot in the head...
We don't know why McGruff thinks we can actually stop shootings without manpower, firepower and the combat rules of an occupying force. If someone wants to shoot someone (or someone needs to be shot) then someone is going to the hospital with an extra few holes in the body. Blaming Leo (or any other gold star), while amusing for the moment, isn't really solving anything.
