Three people were shot in two attacks within a block of each other today in the South Shore neighborhood, authorities said.
Two people were shot near 71st Street and Clyde Avenue about 7 p.m., said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded in the attack. He's at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to his side and chest, Chicago Police News Affairs [...] said.
The other, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the leg and is in stable condition at the same hospital, [...].
The shooting may have been a drive-by.
And once again, poor marksmanship results in the homicide remaining static for the moment while shootings skyrocket.
