You can see what proper police station security looks like in the 'burbs where you have to be buzzed into a secure waiting area and then you still talk to the police through bulletproof glass. No so in Chicago where the disease ridden homeless gather and spread lord knows what airborne pathogens to officers and citizens alike.
A few years back following the teenage police impersonator incident, J-Fled commissioned the Secret Service to evaluate station security of Chicago Police Stations and come up with a plan to make them a bit more airtight than usual. Most stations, if not all, got keypad security doors that work about 50% of the time and did nothing to address lobby security.
The culmination of these security evaluations comes to us from an Area North district. It seems that citizens are permitted to use a set of bathrooms off of the lobby and the iron fence meant to restrict access is opened so people can avail themselves of the facilities. Guess what happened?
