That's a check from the City of Chicago made out to the Second Amendment Foundation in the amount of $399,950. Let's spell that out:
- Three hundred ninety nine THOUSAND, nine hundred fifty bucks - fifty dollars short of an even four hundred G's
We're told the amount was as high as it was because the judge felt the Chicago lawyers were purposefully prolonging the proceedings in an effort to increase the plaintiffs legal fees.
And what was Chicago's budget deficit this year? No wonder Rahm needs speed cameras.
As a taxpayer, a big "fuck you" to Rahm and his predecessor for costing (and continuing to cost) Chicagoans what will undoubtedly be millions of dollars when all is said and done.
But as a supporter and member of the Second Amendment Foundation, a big thank you to Rahm for the nice check. We'll try to make sure it's spent wisely.
