- Former Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis has resigned as president of the Chicago Crime Commission effective today, officials said.
Weis is leaving to pursue interests outside of the scope of the Chicago Crime Commission including teaching, research, and private industry, officials said in a press release.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have been a part of such a terrific organization and learn first-hand the role non-profit organizations can play in support of the men and women on the front lines keeping our city safe. It has been an honor and a pleasure to have served the Chicago Crime Commission, its devoted membership, and the City of Chicago." Weis said in a statement.
J-Fled's last month has been kind of eventful. First, he denied that the maniac latin disciples had successfully hidden gang symbols to the upcoming city sticker, then hastily backtracked when numerous gang experts contradicted him. Then he ruffled some political feathers by pointing out that a clout heavy gang leader was handling all sort of sensitive court documents working for the Cook County Clerk's office.
