At least two of the names on the Sergeants list were removed for supposedly not having the college.
Both parties claimed to have provided transcripts to the Department upon testing years ago and have provided additional copies of their transcripts and diplomas to Ladner's people at Human Resources and she has since refused to enter them into the Sergeants class. Now there is a lawsuit in the courts.
The trouble for Ladner here is everyone can cite half a dozen instances of class sizes changing prior to graduation due to errors, oversights and other mistakes by the city (failing to contact people who had refused the promotion once before, yet were still eligible).
Yet another snafu by Ladner and her incompetent office staff. We'd suggest that a few of them get as far away from Ladner as possible seeing as how they are going to be dragged in, named and then thrown under the proverbial bus once Ladner is called on her bullshit.
And to any boss or politician smart enough to see what's coming - she's about to cost you MONEY. That is Rahm's unforgivable sin in these trying economic times - only Rahm can waste money on authorized construction contracts, not silly police department lawsuits where a copper might actually make money.
The lawsuit (with pertinent attachements) can be located under Docket Number 12CH35981
