That shooting near HQ and guess who's there? They're almost like ... like ... Supermen!
- A 19-year-old gunman was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he allegedly opened fire at a vehicle in traffic several cars ahead of an unmarked police vehicle carrying a police sergeant and two other officers Monday afternoon on the South Side, officials said.
The shooting happened about two blocks from Chicago police headquarters on the South Side where the officers in the police car were headed for an afternoon meeting. - “I think for catching us off guard, it couldn’t have worked out any better,’’ said [the officer], who is currently assigned to the Marine Unit. “No one got hurt. I’m just glad it worked out.’’
That's a crime fighting strategy McGoofy hasn't tried yet - more afternoon meetings and the police will be exactly where he needs them - especially the Marine Unit. They've got the waterfront covered, now the streets, last thing left? The air. Watch out Helicopter Unit!!!
