A Northwest Side Fire Departmenty crew on a run this evening returned to find two men leaving their headquarters with a laptop, a department spokesman said.
Firefighters who had been out of their firehouse, 4911 W. Belmont Ave., on a run returned to find someone burglarizing the building about 9:30 p.m., said Fire Deparment spokesman Sean Flynn.
The firehouse's commanding officer called for police assistance and firefighters were able to hold two men--who had been trying to leave the firehouse, at least one carrying a laptop--until police arrived, according to the Fire Department.
