- The officer was driving near 63rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue at about 11 a.m. when he heard gunshots, Perez said. Soon afterwards, the back window of the squad car shattered.
The officer, who was on the way to a high school detail, was not injured. As of 1:45 p.m., no one was in custody.The two incidents did not appear related.
The article as written is confusing. Anyone have the actual play-by-play? Two separate incidents hours apart?
