Anyone who's thinking of having any kind of "dealings" with most tow operators are, quite frankly, nuts:
Three people have been charged in connection with an undercover Chicago Police investigation that targeted tow truck drivers stealing cars, stripping them for parts and selling them to scrap yards.
Javier Garcia-Cruz, 27, of Bolingbrook and Anthony McMorries, 52, and Jose Sanchez, 44, of Chicago, were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, police announced this afternoon. They could face additional charges, and police are searching for more suspects, Harrison Area property crimes Sgt. Joe Petrenko said during a news conference this evening.
"We're continuing the investigation, and we're uncovering new evidence as we go along," he said.
