No one hit on either side though:
Three people were taken into custody this morning after Chicago police exchanged gunfire with someone in the Lakeview neighborhood on the North Side, police said.
No one was injured in the shooting around 1:15 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Barry Avenue, police said, citing early reports.
A police spokesman had no details on the shooting, but said three people were taken into custody.
Since late August, the union representing Chicago's rank-and-file officers has reported about a dozen instances where shots were fired either at or by police officers.
