Remembering Thor

Time flies, but the wounds never heal completely. One year later:

• Chicago Police Officer Thor Soderberg was shot and killed in the line of duty one year ago. On Thursday morning, Brookfield Zoo was the site of an event to celebrate his life.

  Thursday morning's ceremony was attended by those who Officer Thor Soderberg knew and loved. The remembrance service sought to not only celebrate his life but also move his dream of introducing city kids to nature one step closer to being a reality.

PO Soderberg was the second of three officers killed in just under 2 months and marked a truly low point in Department history.
