No idea why this would be news to anyone outside of SCC readers, but Channel 2 has always been anti-police, so this must have been an opportunity for the police haters to vent their spleens:
- Some Chicago Police officers have started a letter-writing campaign, in an effort to get the Federal Bureau of Prisons to move one of their own to a prison closer to home.
As WBBM Newsradio 780’s Mike Krauser reports, Officer William Cozzi was sentenced in 2009 to 40 months in federal prison for beating a man who was handcuffed and shackled in a wheelchair.
The comments are full of haters, but the police supporters make an impressive showing also. In any event, it becomes all the more important to maintain decorum when writing to the Bureau of Prisons to ask the director to reconsider Bill's prison assignment. Polite and to the point is the best course of action.
